We are excited to be working in partnership with a highly successful and established client located in Livingston who are looking to recruit an Events Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity where you will be the forefront of executing flawless events and managing the front of house team to provide great service. You will be required to work closely with clients and vendors, alike to make sure that all events go to plan and run to a timed schedule provided by the sales and events department. The role requires someone that is a great planner and hands on type of leader. Role Responsibilities Work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure seamless completion of all events from booking to delivery. Complete and manage weekly bar stock take, take in deliveries to ensure no discrepancies and complete weekly Orders to ensure all bars are stocked for all business needs. Create a minimum stock level for all Bar items to ensure there is no negative effect on business. Responsible for set ups of any events and making sure the set-up is correct following a business sheet supplied by sales and events. Ensures smooth coordination between the different departments – key contact between Sales & Marketing Manager, Head Chef and F&B Assistants to ensure each event/shift is run smoothly. Lead and deliver all events in a professional manner including the role of Wedding MC when required. Be accountable and efficient with any issues arising before, during and after the event. Price management and ensuring we are meeting our GP’s. Have a good understanding on Stock rotation and Train and empower all F&B staff to upsell and promote offers. Train, Evaluate, Lead, Motivate and Coach all Food & Beverage staff to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met. Manage all staff to make sure they are performing to the best of their ability and ensure any under performing issues are recorded and dealt with effectively. Create Staff rotas – minimum 2 weeks in advance and manage absences as per company policy. To be considered for this amazing opportunity, our client does require the following experience /background: Proven experience working within Event Management Background of managing weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, conferences etc Knowledge and understanding of running a bar, GP’s and pricing Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organisational skills Approachable and hold strong communication and problem solving skills Flexible – be able to commit evening and weekends when required Personal Bar Licence.
