Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a role that we have available with a utilities contractor working on Sizewell C. Ideal candidate would have strong power and utilities background working on substation, battery storage and cabling projects preferably but they are flexible on background. Open to candidates who are local to the job and candidates looking to lodge away. Responsibilities: Commercial Management:Oversee the commercial aspects of the Sizewell C project, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Procurement:Develop and implement procurement strategies, prepare subcontract documents, and manage subcontractor relationships. Cost Analysis:Conduct cost value analysis, prepare costings for tenders, and manage project budgets. Risk Management:Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks, ensuring effective risk management and mitigation. Contract Management:Review contract conditions, negotiate amendments, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Team Leadership:Supervise and mentor junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Reporting:Prepare detailed progress reports, analyze outcomes, and present findings to senior management. Stakeholder Engagement:Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues that arise. Compliance:Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations.Qualifications: Education:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is preferred. Experience:Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in civil engineering and large-scale construction projects. Skills:Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.Desirable Attributes: Leadership:Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
