Overview of the role:
newcleo is driving forwards an exciting and challenging international programme to develop and deploy our innovative Lead-cooled Fast Reactor technology. We are looking for a highly motivated and pro-active Engineering Planner to join our Enterprise PMO team, working as part of the Fuel Cycle and MOX Project Controls team and interfacing seamlessly with the Engineering Department to support the need for time and costs scheduling, risk identification together with the project risk manager, and progress reporting to the Project Director.
Reporting to our MOX Planning Lead, the core duties & areas the role will cover include:
1. Project planning and scheduling activities for newcleo’s Fuel Cycle and MOX Program, including preparation of baseline schedules for development/implementation phase and managing progress against agreed baselines/key milestones.
2. Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure and overall activity plan/dependencies.
3. Maintain plans in newcleo’s chosen planning tool (Oracle Primavera P6).
4. Generate and communicate high-quality project performance data (schedule, resource, and integration with cost) to support overall project management, strategic decision making, and risk/issue management.
5. Perform schedule risk analysis/critical path analysis and earned value analysis as required.
6. Identify critical milestones and interfaces and work with other project team members to ensure these are well defined and tracked.
7. Implement appropriate and proportionate baseline management and change control.
8. Work closely with group programme management office to ensure quality of information and data exchange, clarity of interfaces, and continuous improvement of processes and systems.
9. Work collaboratively as part of a small agile project controls team to ensure proportionate but best practice project management and control of Italian projects.
10. Assure the sharing of the information between several projects and across the teams located in France and in the UK.

The role can be based in our London, Manchester, or Gloucester offices, where we have a hybrid & flexible working policy of 3 days per week in the office. There are also travel opportunities to our offices in Turin (Italy) and Lyon (France), in order to collaborate and build strong working relationships across our Global Team.

* Combination of academic qualification and appropriate professional experience.
* Professional affiliation preferable (e.g. APM, MSP, PPC etc).

Languages:
* Fluent Italian and English.
* French is a plus.
Experience / Professional requirements:
* 4/5 years experience of working in a planning team/function and on large complex projects, ideally with prior experience in the nuclear industry and/or EPC company.
* Experience of carrying out schedule risk analyses and implementing systems for earned value analysis. Experience of integrating cost and schedule.
* Experience in providing high-quality planning and scheduling services for highly complex projects/programmes, with an expertise in the application of good practices/principles of project controls including estimating; value for money; controlling of cost and schedule; baseline management; forecasting; performance measurement (inc. EVA), change control, and risk management.
