About us:-
My Life is a charity providing individualised support to a wide range of people in the East Lancashire area. We are seeking an exceptional Personal Assistant / Support Worker to work alongside our team of registered nurses to provide personalised support to a young man with complex needs. The role will enable you to develop and learn a wide range of skills which will enable this young man to live the best life possible. From your perspective it will enhance your career as you will become fully versed in autism, epilepsy, learning difficulties and sensory needs. You must be responsive and empathic to the needs of this young man when he is both well and unwell, able to drive a reasonably sized specialist vehicle and be willing to learn and develop. We provide excellent terms and conditions for an outstanding individual.
What you'll need to succeed:-
In order to succeed, you will be kind-hearted and fun to make a positive difference to this young man’s life, enhancing his day and enabling him to access the community. Ideally, you will have experience working as a Personal Assistant / Carer / Support Worker ideally with someone with epilepsy and/or autism and be able to support a person with health needs. If not, full training will be offered. You will be self-motivated, flexible and have the ability to use your own initiative whilst being caring and sensitive to the needs of others. You will need to hold a full driving licence.
The position is part time and may include some evenings/Saturdays.

The salary on offer is from £16.00 - £18.72 per hour (dependent upon experience) plus a competitive benefits package.
