Role overview
We are looking for a Private Patient Lead to join our Northampton site. This will be 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.
The Private Patient Lead plays an integral role in growing our private business and delivering exceptional patient experience. You will be the principal contact for all private patients which includes responding to enquiries, booking appointments, taking payment and facilitating the post-operative calls.
The Private Patient Lead will be involved in driving the private referrals, visiting practices to promote our services and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You'll ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintained in all verbal and written communication, and you’ll have a full understanding of patient pathways and the appointment processes to make sure the patient journey is a smooth one.
We also need someone who is incredibly customer focused and enjoys meeting and talking to people – the thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so all our team members need to be empathetic and friendly and able to put patients at ease.
What skills and experience do I need?
We’re looking for someone with previous experience, ideally in a sales capacity. And ideally, you’ll have worked in a healthcare environment before, but this is not essential.
We’ll provide full training on things like our systems and processes, but the following elements will be advantageous:
1. Awareness / understanding of the CQC regulatory standards
2. Ability to multitask and prioritise own work without supervision
3. Experience of implementing process improvement
4. A competent user of all Office 365 programmes
5. Tech savvy and comfortable working on new systems e.g. patient record systems
6. A good phone manner
7. An excellent grasp of the English language both verbally and in written format
8. A good team player – happy to jump in and support others when required
