Part-time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a happy and engaging 16 year old girl living in the Penarth area. I have a diagnosis of ASD, GAD & ADHD. I also have anxiety. I love to sing and I love being active. I attend a signing group & youth club. I enjoy visiting the climbing centre, swimming, walking and going shopping.
I can be very tactile and I have very little awareness of boundaries. If I see an animal whilst out in the community (especially dogs), I will run to them and begin smoothing them. I have very little danger awareness and will approach strangers.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Personal Assistant to help improve my safety and independence skills in the community & attend groups with me.
HOURS OF WORK
2 hours per week, to be worked flexibly
After school or during the weekend
RATES OF PAY
£13.30 per hour
£0.40 per mile, 20 miles per week
TASKS INVOLVED
v Support me with social outings and community activities safety and appropriately
v Driving me in your car
v Helping me with my confidence and independence
v Going out for a walk with me
v Act as a friend/companion
v Ensure my safety at all times
v Any other reasonable tasks

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
