We are currently recruiting for Production Team Leaders, well versed in lean manufacturing concepts to join the Norfolk Bridge Works team. This is an exciting development opportunity for a current or aspiring leader to lead and motivate a team in a high-volume production environment. The role Reporting to the Production Manager, you will have responsibility for safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes, ensuring all products are made in line with company and customer requirements. You will lead and motivate a team of production operatives in line with company values, providing support to achieve 85% OEE on all processes, and high levels of customer service to achieve a delivery target of 99% and above. This will include responsibility for clear communication up and down the supply chain and with internal customers, manning levels, order planning and stock levels for production kanban’s. Additional tasks and responsibilities will include: first stage labour management first level people development and performance management identifying and developing initiatives to progressively improve the processes within the department in line with the businesses five-year plan maintaining and developing visual management boards ownership of department KPIs such as H&S, 5s, OEE and labour monitoring stock movements and ensuring stock accuracy hosting daily production meetings preparing for and delivering effective weekly team meetings first line quality assurance including the management of non-conformances idea generation and implementing cost savings for the production line Working hours The position will entail working regular mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday, on a two-week shift pattern. Nights and weekend work may also be required to meet the demands of the business, and you may also be required to help in other areas on site. A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude is therefore paramount.
