£30K - £40K (depending on experience and track record) + Commission on GP sales (paid monthly)
The Company:
Our client is a valve and instrumentation supply company, offering a wide range of products for both standard and specialist industrial applications.
The Role:
1. Promote the company with customers in person and online UK wide
2. Work to promote the company as a control valve supplier and increase enquiries significantly over the first year
3. Introduce the company's range of represented and manufactured products to customers
4. Apply knowledge of flow equipment range to develop appropriate solutions
5. Find opportunities for bespoke designs to meet customers' requirements
6. Generate quotes and proposals to assist the quotes department
7. Maintain contact with customers after proposals have been made in order to ensure that the contract is won
8. Analyse market data and come up with sales strategies within the UK and abroad
9. Develop marketing campaigns
10. Act as an influential and integral part of the team, proposing changes to improve customer approaches and internal systems
11. Provide input for consideration in pricing decisions, technical information and customer characteristics for sales strategies
Requirements:
1. Technical Sales and Sales Engineering skills (preferably in pressure, temperature, level instruments and valves)
2. Formal Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Production)
3. Knowledge of industrial applications and market sectors
4. Ability to understand and explain technical concepts
5. Self-motivated and goal-oriented
6. Ability to work within a close-knit team
7. Produce measurable results in sales
8. UK Driving licence
9. Experience with selling into varied markets/industries
10. Good inter-personal skills and results-oriented
11. Experience in providing technical support
12. Margin conscious sales approach
13. Dependable with customers
14. Share information with other sales colleagues internally, a good team player
15. Proficiency in PC, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel & Word essential
16. Some understanding of Business CRM systems
17. Suitable combination of technical qualifications, sales training and industry experience
