SEND Teaching Assistant - Brighton City Centre
Sussex Teachers is partnering with a welcoming community primary school in Brighton to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This vibrant inner-city school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting infants aged 5–6 years both inside and outside the classroom, you will work with multiple children, each with unique challenges and ability levels. This class includes a significant number of pupils with additional learning needs who require support in regulating their emotions and engaging with learning.
* Support pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement and support Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Encourage pupil participation and ensure activities are tailored to individual needs.
Requirements
* Experience working with children, ideally in a school or similar setting.
* Understanding of SEND and strategies to support children with additional learning and emotional needs.
* A genuine passion for helping young learners achieve their potential.
