We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and knowledgeable Cardiac Physiologist to work as a Cardiac Device Specialist. You will join a focussed team providing independent support within the Cardiac Device Service across the full range of implantable devices (ILR, PPM, CRT, ICD). The team specialise in electrical CRT Optimisation & assessment of response. The department is progressive and performs Physiologist-Led Device Pre-Assessment, Physiologist Led ILR Implantation and a Scientist-Led Syncope Clinic. The Cardiac Physiology Service at Rotherham is evolving and requires flexible and forward thinking staff to shape our future. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills to work autonomously and act as a positive role model within the department. Main duties of the job We are seeking a Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist with wide reaching experience in cardiac devices at an independent practice level. You must have a passion for cardiac rhythm management and have specialist knowledge of complex devices. LBAP experience and/or Physiologist ILR-Implanter skills are desirable. Applicants must have completed the MSc level Scientist Training Programme (STP) or hold equivalent qualifications. Post-graduate accreditation in Cardiac Rhythm Management (such as BHRS or IBHRE) is expected at this level. Professional registration (AHCS/RCCP/ HCPC) is essential. South Yorkshire offers a regional model for complex devices, which includes an on-call service based at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; applicants must be willing & able to participate.
