Associate Director - Broster Buchanan (Permanent & Interim - Finance & Accounting)
Broster Buchanan are delighted to have been retained by a growing Milton Keynes based Engineering business to recruit a Transactional Finance Manager, on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Transactional Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all finance transactions for the business, including AP, AR and overseeing and reviewing Payroll information that is supplied to the external payroll provider.
Key Duties
* Responsible for credit control function and minimising customer debt
* Liaising with the Commercial Team to ensure correct sales are billed and received on time
* Involved in the month end closure and reconciling the ledger to the nominal accounts.
Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable
* Responsible for receiving and recording invoices in a timely manner, to avoid late payment
* Matching invoices to purchase orders
* Reconciling the purchase ledger to the nominal ledger and producing month end reports
* Preparing weekly supplier payment files for submission to the Financial Accountant
* Inform the Financial Accountant of upcoming cashflow requirements
* Reconcile supplier and intercompany balances at month end
* Managing the indirect purchasing process, WebExpenses, other 3rd party accounts
The Transactional Finance Manager will possess a wealth of knowledge across all areas of transactional finance, and a minimum of 5 years experience in a senior AP/AR role. They will be computer literate with a strong focus and working knowledge of Excel. Candidates need to be comfortable working in an SME environment, where processes are manual and in need of improvement and/or automation.
Our Client is offering a Salary of £45,000
