Contract: Permanent 37 hours per week
Role specifics:
A minimum of three years management experience in a Community Safety and or Safeguarding role, including experience of managing operational services.
A relevant managerial qualification and evidence of leading multi-disciplinary teams. The post also requires you to hold a full UK driving licence.
The Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Community Safety and Housing, this Senior Head of Service role will lead on policy and strategy development and the interface between the council and partners across a range of critical areas focused on protecting vulnerable people. This includes Safeguarding Board arrangements, Criminal Justice, Domestic Abuse and Prevent among other key policy areas which all require a clear, coordinated and consistent approach to ensure the achievement of not just the councils’ objectives but that of wider partners too.
This is a pivotal role in the delivery of the council's vision and corporate priorities, and the post holder is expected to promote and model our organisational values in all aspects of their work.
