About the role
* This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
* We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
* The base location for this role is within the North East and may be either home based or at an appropriate Greggs shop/site local to your home
What you’ll do
* Working closely with the Retail SHE Manager to drive a compliance led culture
* Supporting the Retail SHE Manager to ensure the successful implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures and processes
* Supporting (and occasionally deputising for) the Retail SHE Manager to maintain close working relationships with the central retail support functions (Audit; Purchasing; shop development; etc)
* Creating an atmosphere in which communication through all levels of management and non-management is encouraged
* Compiling shop visit plans and monitoring implementation
* Completing SHE audits and inspections and risk assessments (Fire and General) in shops
* Conducting investigations into accidents, incidents, injury complaints and compensation claims
* Maintaining electronic records, compiling evidence and case files for accidents, incidents, injury complaints and compensation claims
* Compiling data for action management and analysis
* Offering our employees and customers a high level of service by providing guidance and support on SHE matters
* Ensuring the values remain firmly embedded in the daily activities of all personnel within retail
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
* Have an understanding of UK Health Safety and Environmental law and its implementation
* Fire safety qualification or experience of Fire Risk Assessment
* Have proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace
* Have Strong skills in planning, prioritising, and organising
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
* Have IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
* Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
* Enjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together
