The Job
Working closely with our Pharmacy Manager, as a Pharmacy Technician you will have defined responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Providing in house pharmacy services, both for Inpatients and Outpatients
2. Assist with dispensing
3. Carry out procurement, distribution, stock taking and the replenishment of pharmacy items to the ward and departments.
4. If ACT and MM trained – to assist with clinical ward work and checking.
The Person
To succeed as a Pharmacy Technician, you will;
5. NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy service or equivalent is required.
6. You must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Society.
7. Work as part of our team to deliver a high quality pharmacy service to wards and departments where patient experience and safety is at the heart of everything we do.
8. Have Experience within a hospital pharmacy
9. Be required to have Good IT Skills, good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
10. Hold a Medicines Management/Reconciliation accreditation
11. Desirable – Accredited Checking Technician qualification
