Electrical Manager

Green Improve are a rapidly growing company specialising in energy efficient home improvements via the ECO Scheme. With continued expansion planned, we are recruiting an Electrical Manager to lead our team of qualified electrical engineers installing and commissioning Air Source Heat Pumps, Boilers, Electric Storage Heaters, and Solar PV systems in domestic Retrofit properties.
The Role
Reporting into the directors, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the department. You will ensure all jobs are carried out to required industry standards and in line with current safety regulations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Reviewing technical surveys and photographs to assess a property’s suitability for an install
* Accurately costing jobs and projects
* Producing job sheets with clear instructions for the electricians
* Booking installs with customers and managing the team’s diaries
* Supporting with solar designs and liaising with the solar contractors to ensure jobs are running to the correct timescales
* Ordering materials and ensuring vans are stocked appropriately
* Checking all photos and install paperwork and ensuring we are working in line with our submissions process
* Working alongside the Heating and Insulation manager and directors to ensure the smooth running of the electrical department
* Handling all complaints and arranging appropriate remedial visits
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
* Approved installer under NAPIT/ NICEIC (NVQ level 3, 18th Edition, Testing and Inspection 2391)
* LCL Level 3 Solar Design and Battery storage essential
* A good understanding of building principles and service systems
* Previous experience working in the Eco industry would be beneficial
* Strong administrative skills; you must be a competent user of the Microsoft Office package
* General knowledge of heating systems would also be desirable

This is a full-time position based in our offices in Blackburn working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
* Starting Salary £55,000 - £60,000
* 25 days Annual leave plus bank holidays (33 in total)
