Job overview
The post holder will work within the Treatment team, which includes 2 NMPs, mental health nurses, senior health and wellbeing nurses, consultants, and practitioners from our partner agencies, Nacro and Aquarius. We also have a DALT team working in Royal Wolverhampton Trust.

The post holder will work closely with the team leader in the development of effective systems and processes for the collection of performance outputs and outcomes in relation to prescribing. You will work with colleagues to ensure that there are effective care pathways to a range of services that will enhance individual recovery, achievement of goals, and re-integration. This will be achieved by forming effective partnership links with identified partners and community organisations to enhance the service user recovery journey.
Main duties of the job
* Work closely with the service manager in the development of effective systems and processes for the collection of performance outcomes in relation to non-medical prescribing and other related outcomes within the service.
* Be an independent practitioner within the service.
* Manage a defined caseload for prescribing within the service and ensure that non-medical prescribing enhances service delivery.
* Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care within agreed parameters, and have a working knowledge of local and national policies and legislation that govern the role and service provision.
* Ensure that service users have a good awareness of prescribed medication including potential side effects.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Running daily clinics, commencing prescribing or reviewing clients' medication, and holding a caseload of prescribing clients.
* Participating in senior meetings.
* Working alongside the service manager and consultant in writing and reviewing pathways and guidelines.

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on the post) by the end of your second week with us.
