We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner (Management Accountant) to join our team based in our head office in Waterloo on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing a full management accounting service and delivering a professional, timely and accurate financial reporting & forecasting service.
Key activities:
* Produce timely, accurate, and compliant production of monthly management accounts pack
* Monitor, track and evaluate the operational expenses in the month and recommend efficiencies where possible
* Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals & prepayments
* Perform forecasts, budget preparation and variance analysis
* Support operational management with detailed contract reviews including cost analysis
* Oversee the preparation and consolidation of schedules for year-end audit purposes
* Ensure invoices are raised in accordance with contracts and company policies
* Manage debt collection, WIP recovery and review of BIA
* Oversee the rolling cash flow reporting and evaluation
Skills, qualifications & experience:
* Previous experience with operational management accounts
* Must be able to evaluate complex data and have sound problem solving skills
* Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to effectively multitask and work unsupervised
* Strong Excel knowledge
* Must be willing to travel to multi sites to support operational teams
* Ideally CIMA or ACCA part-qualified (or working towards)
