We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a Lotus Notes/Domino's Engineer to join them on a major banking project that's based in Glasgow 2 days per week.
This role is inside iR35.
Requirements:
* Work on process of upgrading to v12, client will be on an up-to-date and fully supported version.
o What we are on the lookout for someone to help with a Domino 8 to 12 upgrade - platform runs on RHEL-8, AIX and Windows 2019.
o Ordinarily, this kind of work would be undertaken by someone who has very real experience of Domino administration.
o Someone who understands Domino practices and terminology and meanings etc.
o Some of the work would involve configuring - not just building - Domino Servers and testing/confirming connectivity for the various protocols Domino will be supporting on each new server.
* Looking for administration capability and are looking for someone with experience in this area to perform day to day admin / support tasks.
* It will be a Full time role and there might be a requirement for weekend work to perform maintenance ( once per month for around 3 hrs ). I
* If the out of hours work is an issue, could potentially cover that with SLC internal staff.
Background client use Domino / Notes for:
* External email - all external email comes into Domino, email for individuals is routed to Exchange using a product from Quest. Email for shared mailboxes is delivered to the relevant mailbox on Domino / Notes.
* Shared Mailboxes - there are around 900 in active use, primarily used to communicate with external customers.
* Databases - around 150 databases in use performing various function for the internal business.
* Mail routing from line of business (Back End) systems to internal and external recipients.
In addition to admin / support skills it would be advantageous if the person had experience of:
* Managing and monitoring Domino Servers and their services, troubleshooting and resolving issues with these, including user related
* Notes client - all users have this on their laptops and use it to access the shared mailboxes / databases.
* LotusScript which we use for some automation around the mailboxes and Databases.
* Quest Domino / Exchange integration product
