Role Summary: A client of ours based in the North-West is recruiting for a Network Operations Manager to join the team delivering electrical power projects at transmission and distribution level. Focused on the network engineering associated with the control, maintenance and operation associated with construction, maintenance and inspections programmes. These programmes will include low value, low complexity, high volume programmes of work through to highly complex individual infrastructure and transmission voltage projects. You will ensure that all programmes/projects have an identified electrical operational and commissioning support, managing all electrical and site safety, maintaining a collective work plan, tracking spend/revenue and risks at a programme/macro level. Package: Salary - Up to 95k Outstanding package including market-leading pension, company car/allowance, annual bonus, employee perks, private health etc. Working conditions - 90% office/home-based 37 hours per week Selected Key Responsibilities: Portfolio accountability to ensure each project is designed to incorporate electrical operations and company Health & Safety processes. Act as point of escalation for the customer and the company for electrical operational of both tendering and implementing current and future projects (including Fault/failure investigation and remediation). Accountable for a total portfolio of between £5m to £10m of engineering projects/programmes including producing monthly status reports and analysis of technical trends and risks. Operate across the whole of the delivery team as a technical lead, responsible for between 1 and 5 technical engineering subcontractor service contracts & frameworks. Maintaining ComCo (CML) Electrical/Operational safe system of work from a data, document, and process control, in compliance with ISO standards. Stand in for the Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager and Programme Manager as required. Selected Key Knowledge and Experience: Academic qualification in Electrical Engineering, with at least five years of relevant experience - ESSENTIAL Hold or have held Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status with a DNO/IDNO/Private Network - ESSENTIAL Experienced at carrying out failure/fault investigation and devising remediation and repair strategies to restore network resilience/supplies - ESSENTIAL Proven record of managing teams on complex HV & EHV projects including maintenance and construction. Excellent understanding of the Health & Safety and CDM requirements for large scale projects. Hold a valid, full UK driving licence - ESSENTIAL
