Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021, Mears had over 19,000 service users across the three regions. Mears works in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords, and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing, and create specialist housing for people with care needs.
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate Multi Skilled Operative to join our rapidly expanding team in Northern Ireland to work within a busy responsive repairs environment. Reporting individual job actions from site to ensure our clients receive high levels of service and satisfaction. As a Multi Skilled Operative, your main duties will include repairs and refurbishment activities to our tenanted accommodation properties, delivering best-in-class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards. The main role will be to complete general repairs on homes including changing doors, taps, baths, fixing radiators, fixing kitchen units, fire doors, carpets, as well as plastering any ceilings and walls where required.
Role Criteria:
* NVQ level 3 in at least 1 trade
* Trade knowledge and experience in Plumbing, Joinery, and Plastering
* Must hold a full UK driving License
* Ability to work on your own initiative
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK; Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
