Job Purpose
Monday to Friday 0800 to 1600
· Responsible for the delivery of care and for managing service provision in accordance with national and local priorities, organisation policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Thepostholderwillberesponsiblefor:
• To deliver care in accordance with organisation policies, procedures, and guidelines, according to competencies, as delegated by the phlebotomy team lead and locality manager.
• To undertake venepuncture from patients in the blood clinic or a domicile community setting home visits. The phlebotomist will be expected to bleed one patient every 8 minutes while working in the clinic.
• To maintain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that is responsive to the needs of

• Toreportanychanges inconditionofthepatient totheTeamLeaderorin their absencethedesignatedPhlebotomist in charge.
• To complete all documents accurately and with concise information as per local guidelines.
• To be aware of Data Protection Act, and follow local codes of practice to ensure appropriate action istakento safeguard confidential information.
• To record activity data accurately, ensuring that the deadline for entry on to the computer system ismet.
