If you have previous experience working at a Recycling Centre / Refuse Centre / Waste Management Company / Scrap Metal Merchants / Composting Facilities / Materials Recovery Facility / Wast to Energy Plant / Landfill Operator or similar, then great. If not, but you have previous management / supervisory experience with a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and enjoy working outside in a yard / work site environment, then we would like to hear from you too.
SALARY: £32,000 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: Stafford, Staffordshire, West Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week over 7 days (candidates must be flexible due to the shifts running days, nights, and weekends)

DUTIES
Your duties as a Deputy Site Manager will include:
Reporting to the Site Manager
Assist with managing the Recycling Team with key focus on Health and Safety, and Quality
Quality checking of waste materials
Organisation of yard / work areas
Delivery of training
Issuing of PPE and keeping records
Managing sickness/absence, and recruitment
Overseeing waste collections and processing of documentation
Communicating with the client and Head Office
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Previous management/supervisor experience
Previous experience in waste management or similar sectors
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations
Proven problem-solving ability
Excellent IT skills
Ability to a motivate a team and drive continuous improvement
Full UK Driving Licence
Forklift experience / licence Counterbalance (desirable)
