Company: Finning (UK) Ltd Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: Working within an industry-leading organisation at Finning, and the largest CAT dealership in the UK and Ireland, your role as Manual Machinist / Toolmaker will be carrying out reconditioning of old components or the machining of new components for Caterpillar products Job Description: We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual with strong experience on manual machining skills who would be suited to a role supporting the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery. Overview Use of manual machines such as Lathes, Milling Machines and honing machines Reclaiming/refurbing of old or damaged parts and components Manufacturing new parts and components Plan jobs through various stages of manufacture deciding the correct machinery, tooling and processes to be used in order to achieve the stated accuracy and quality Reading/interpreting technical engineering drawings Work with the drawing office and give feedback to create / modify parts Ensure that all tooling related activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate company procedures.
