Working as a CAMHS Social Worker, you will be working collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive social work support to children and young people experiencing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting thorough assessments of the social and familial aspects impacting a young person's mental health.
* Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with the CAMHS team, addressing identified needs and risks.
* Providing therapeutic support to children and young people, offering counselling and guidance to enhance coping skills and resilience.
* Collaborating with families to develop and implement person-centred care plans, fostering a supportive environment for the young person's mental health.
* Engaging with external agencies, schools, and community resources to enhance support networks for young people.
* Providing support and guidance to families navigating the social care and mental health systems.
Requirements:
* Social Work Degree and registration with Social Work England.
* Experience working in a CAMHS or similar mental health setting.
* Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a focus on person-centred and strengths-based approaches.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and mental health.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
