More detail about the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Ophthalmic Injector to join our growing Nurse led injection service. The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Ophthalmic Team is looking to recruit a Nurse, Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to join a team of highly enthusiastic and motivated professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality Ophthalmic care to the population of North Devon. Hours are negotiable but we have part and full time hours available due to expansion of the service into the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to the Ophthalmic Team, and associated teams within the hospital and community settings. You will require good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with integrated care partners, as a member of a team. Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Injector is essential. You will be supported by the Northern Devon Ophthalmic Clinical Nurse Specialists and Consultant Team. You will need to be able to work in an autonomous way and facilitate effective communication between team members. This is a progressive multidisciplinary team with opportunities to developing existing skills and to learn new ones.
