Senior Pre-Sales Engineer
A fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly-growing Fintech company in London as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong sales experience within the financial services sector (5-10 years), along with the technical ability to conduct demonstrations and sell the value of their product, an API banking solution.
Location: London, Onsite.
Salary: £90,000-£110,000 (base) + commission
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the strategic planning and execution of product demonstrations to secure new business opportunities.
2. Act as a product representative to customers and at industry events such as conferences and seminars.
3. Address functional and technical aspects of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and pricing inquiries.
4. Coordinate responses for technical integrations, including APIs and treasury systems, for key accounts.
5. Communicate customer needs to Product Management teams.
6. Stay informed about the product roadmap and understand how various features and functions solve business and technical challenges.
7. Keep updated on competitive landscapes and identify differentiators between our offerings and those of competitors.
8. Prepare for meetings and customise communications to meet the specific business needs of potential clients during the pre-sales process.
9. Provide market feedback to Product Management and Development, addressing any gaps between product capabilities and customer expectations.
10. Collaborate closely with Sales to enhance internal messaging and support cross-selling efforts.
Qualifications:
1. 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales, consultative or client-facing roles, alongside experience within treasury, cash management or corporate finance.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
3. Self-motivated with a successful track record in private markets, treasury, or software sales, along with a solid understanding of technology.
4. Strong technical understanding of APIs, Swift and integrations.
5. Comfortable in a fast-paced, technical environment with a growing customer base.
6. Excellent presentation and professional communication skills, particularly in written formats such as emails, RFPs, and reports.
7. Organised and analytical, with the ability to creatively overcome sales challenges.
8. Strong understanding of private markets and cash/liquidity management processes.
9. Professional knowledge of financial risk management practices related to foreign exchange and interest rate hedging.
10. Ability to convey technical and business information to diverse audiences.
11. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
12. Capable of understanding business processes and identifying relevant problems.
13. Proficient in analysing financial data and applying it to solve business issues.
14. Able to manage multiple subjects and products simultaneously.
15. Familiar with the client's financial technical architecture and emerging technologies.
16. Knowledge of strategic, conceptual, and consultative selling techniques.
17. Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
