We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager who is able to provide commercial challenge while acting as a trusted business partner. Thriving in fast-paced environments, you will expertly juggle multiple demands and prioritize effectively.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
* End-to-end P&L ownership for both the Sports Edit on M&S and thesportsedit.com, supporting the leadership team to deliver sales, profit, stock, and cash targets.
* Understand key sales, margin, and profitability drivers and pro-actively undertake analysis to support driving profitable sales and maximise profit. Ownership for all forecast, budget, and strategic outputs, supporting on insight to the leadership team.
* Producing monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
* Leading, managing, developing, and coaching the Management Accountant supporting The Sports Edit team.
* Championing continuous improvement and key finance lead in transitioning operational finance to our Business Service Centre. Protecting value through strong controllership and understanding risks and opportunities, collaborating with the wider team to ensure financial controls are in place.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
* Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
* Experience in working within a small finance team ideally within retail or e-commerce.
* Good communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to think logically and carry out analysis of information.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive acumen to rectify issues independently.
