Job Advert Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Intelligence Support Officer - Live Intelligence Desk (LID) based at Police Headquarters, Carmarthen.
We are looking for individuals who have experience in reviewing, researching, processing and presenting information, who can transfer those skills to support Dyfed-Powys Police frontline officers and staff.
What you will be doing?
You will be responsible for applying the National Intelligence Model, THRIVES and NDM principles when undertaking review, research, process and prioritising graded intelligence reports, in accordance with relevant and current legislation.
You will be required to:
• Provide intelligence support to spontaneous firearms and critical incidents as directed.
• Give live time intelligence to operational staff deployed to incidents.
• Manage the receipt and research of intelligence requests from other Forces, utilising all relevant databases, to collate and evaluate information found on specific nominals, providing verification of records where necessary.
• Act as a point of contact (SPOC) for internal and external enquiries on numerous business areas including: PND, NFLMS, SOCA, CEOP, SCAS, Crimestoppers, Prisons, DWP, HMRC, IPS, UKCA.
This role is a fixed location, based at Police Headquarters in Carmarthen. You will be required to work a shift pattern working within a 24hr bandwidth, (including weekends). Due to shift and weekend working, allowances will be payable.
