Job summary The role of a Porter is instrumental to the smooth running of the Hospital, you will move patients, deliver patient meals and manage safe movement of other medical equipment. Porters should have the ability to work quickly and calmly in emergencies, have good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise, be patient and tolerant, a good physical fitness and have the ability follow instructions and work to tight time constraints. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for supporting service improvements and encouraging the delivery of high productivity; supported by excellent customer care. You will be able to work on your own initiative and under direction, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times. The ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
