Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm CT
Facility location: Chester, CT
Details:
1. Performs First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102 and/or other customer requirements, including delta and internal FAIs.
2. Performs Receiving Inspection duties as required.
3. Identify and document nonconformances.
4. Assist with MRB and RMA duties, disposition any nonconforming products as needed.
5. Assists in effective root cause analysis, resolution, and initiates CAPAs.
6. Interface with Engineering and Operations staff in resolving FAI conformance issues.
7. Assist in ensuring ME&T equipment are functional operating condition and calibrated.
8. Performs audit functions within the organization as required.
Requirements:
1. Proficiency in the use of manual and visual inspection equipment, e.g. calipers, go/no-go gages, micrometers, optical comparators, etc.
2. Computing skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
3. Understanding of ISO9001, AS9100 or comparable QMS experience, including auditing methods.
4. Knowledge of quality techniques, e.g. Pareto, RCCA, PFMEA, PPAP, GR&R, MSA.
5. Working knowledge of CAPA using 8D methodologies and other analysis tools.
6. Ability to learn and train other team members new processes and techniques.
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
