Remarkable Jobs are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of lighting equipment and associated facilities to the film and television production industry. We are seeking an experienced Returns Supervisor to oversee the efficient handling, inspection, and processing of returned AV and lighting equipment.
Returns Supervisor Role:
As a Returns Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing the returns department, ensuring stock is processed efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, overseeing quality control checks, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining health & safety compliance.
Returns Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate a team of lighting technicians, operatives, and trainees.
* Oversee the return and inspection of AV and lighting equipment, ensuring missing and damaged items are recorded and reported.
* Ensure efficient inbound stock processing and smooth transfer of equipment to relevant departments.
* Liaise with sales, distribution, and inventory teams to manage stock levels and special requests.
* Ensure accurate job closure and reporting to the sales team within set timeframes.
* Organise and manage vehicle unloading, ensuring stock is safely and correctly stored.
* Conduct weekly toolbox talks with the team and maintain training records.
* Supervise the scanning and inventory tracking of returned stock.
* Work closely with repairs and inventory teams to arrange internal transfers.
* Maintain the highest standards of quality control and service levels.
* Ensure health & safety compliance, including manual handling and safe storage procedures.
What They Are Looking For:
Essential:
* Experience in the lighting or AV industry.
* Strong leadership skills with experience supervising warehouse or technical teams.
* IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory tracking systems (Rental Tracker Pro preferred).
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to business demands.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Desirable:
Experience in film, TV, or live event production equipment handling.
Knowledge of sub-hire management and stock replenishment.
Understanding of warehouse logistics and asset management.
