Project Manager (Music for Life) – Maternity Cover
Wigmore Hall is inviting applications for the position of Project Manager for the Music for Life programme. This full-time role, offering a salary of £34,000, is a maternity cover contract anticipated to last 13 months, beginning in June 2024.
The Project Manager will be integral in managing and developing activities within the Music for Life programme, renowned internationally for its creative music-making for people living with dementia, their families, friends, and carers. Reporting to the Head of Music for Life, this role involves collaboration with the Wigmore Hall Learning department, musicians, facilitators, and care professionals, focusing on inclusivity and dignity for all participants regardless of their dementia stage or type.
Applicants should possess experience in event coordination or management, showcasing strong project management, organisational, and administrative skills. A background in participatory music-making, along with a shared commitment to the values of Wigmore Hall Learning, is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to engage in reflective practice, a commitment to inclusive and anti-discriminatory practices, and the ability to work thoughtfully and supportively with diverse groups, including those living with dementia. Experience in working with health or social care organisations, writing for various audiences, producing online events, and managing finances and budgets is also sought, along with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook or equivalent applications.
