This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Systemic Practitioner to be part of an expanding Specialist Perinatal Service with CWL SPCMHT covering the Central and West Lancashire footprint. We are seeking applications from caring, family-focused and dynamic clinicians who aspire to or have experience of working with women and their families during the perinatal period. However, full support and training is available for this specialist role and therefore perinatal experience is not necessarily required.
The primary purpose of the Systemic Practitioner role is to provide systemic assessment, formulation and intervention to women and their families, and to provide systemic guidance to the MDT under supervision from a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist (and registered supervisor). They will be a specialist resource and contribute to the teams systemic knowledge and clinical practice via training and upskilling.

The Systemic Practitioner will be a key member of the Specialist Perinatal Service (SPS) which provides care in the Lancashire & South Cumbria region. Their role will be to provide specialist systemic assessment, formulation and intervention within a multi-disciplinary team to women experiencing mental health difficulties whilst pregnant and up to 2 years post-delivery, and the network around them.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
