We are looking for an engineer to join our Technology team. We are working to develop innovative new products and systems that take advantage of state-of-the-art technology including additive manufacture, CNC machining, onboard electronics, and control strategies. You will be working with real hardware, putting our products through their paces, and proving that they meet our demanding requirements.
The successful candidate will have a bias towards mechanical engineering. They will be a collaborative and proactive individual who is looking for an opportunity to make an impact, take ownership of tasks, run test rigs, interpret data, develop new tests, and contribute towards the company’s ongoing growth by becoming a subject matter expert in testing of our products and systems.
Responsibilities:
* Building and testing our products and systems
* Setting up and running test rigs and software
* Thinking about and discussing how to test new products
* Analysing results and drawing conclusions
* Collaborating with design, electronics, and software engineers
* Presenting testing updates in team meetings
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar STEM field)
* Excellent problem-solving ability and ability to apply engineering principles
* Good practical ability, and understanding of experiment/test design
* Digital literacy
* Good verbal and written communication skills
Beneficial Requirements:
* Coding ability (particularly Python for data acquisition and analysis)
* Electronics knowledge/interest
* Knowledge of metal 3D printing and/or CNC machining
* Familiar with hydraulic systems and circuit design
* Workshop skills (hand tools, power tools, machine tools)
We are looking for a driven multi-skilled engineer to join the Technology team and take ownership of test rig design, development, and procurement/manufacture.
