We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic General Catering Services Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation in Shrewsbury, SY3 7AA ! You'll act as the primary representative for Sodexo within the catering operation, and manage effectively all catering team members, to ensure that all services deliver both qualitative and quantitative results, fostering long term profitable relationships and working with the client and catering team to deliver operational excellence.
What you'll do
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement in people, systems, processes, and services to achieve a ‘Best In Class’ service.
* Present new ideas for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of services while promoting a collaborative culture among team members.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Deputy General Manager to capture and share student feedback with action plans and outcomes.
* Schedule regular client meetings to review service provisions, maintaining comprehensive monthly notes and fostering positive relationships.
* Ensure high-quality monthly reports and documentation for stakeholders and clients are produced in a timely manner.
* Oversee the site's financial performance, managing service delivery for efficiency and continuous improvement while preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
* Engage and lead a high-performing team, ensuring compliance with HR policies and efficient completion of administrative tasks.
* Disseminate updates on new procedures through regular team meetings and actively promote a health and safety culture.
* Ensure operational compliance with Sodexo policies and procedures, maintaining updated site information and stock levels within budget.
* Foster excellent client relationships to ensure service delivery exceeds expectations and meet legislative requirements, particularly concerning safeguarding.
What we're looking for:
* Food Safety Level 3 qualification as a minimum and Health and Safety - IOSH or equivalent
* Track record of success in a similar role overseeing the delivery of out-sourced services
* Ability to lead, motivate and inspire team members of all levels
* Proven experience of developing relationships
* Excellent client relationship management
* Experienced in leading company initiatives and change management processes
* Strong communication and negotiation skill with excellent client relationship management
* Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed
* Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
* Competent and able to use a range of IT and technologically applications and systems, MS Office, Electronic
