We are looking for a Chef to join our Clubhouse team
Reporting to: Clubhouse Manager.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing menus for players in all age groups through consultation with the Clubhouse Manager and the various team managers;
* Preparing high-quality players meals and light meals / snacks for our players, members and visitors;
* Preparing light meals and snack items, for across-the-counter sales on club operational days;
* Catering for private functions and occasional large functions;
* Maintaining adequate, in-date stock levels;
* Maintaining up to date statutory records as required by Surrey Health Department;
* Attend to allergens and vegetarian / vegan requirements;
* Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area;
* Training and supervising a small team of part-time assistants required for busy shifts;
* Assisting the management and committee with initiatives to develop new revenue streams
* Carrying out any reasonable request from the Clubhouse Manager
Requirements and skills
* Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook for this hands-on role
* Working knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques, including batch cooking
* Must be self-motivated
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Excellent time management abilities
* Good personnel management and leadership skills
* Flexibility of work pattern and weekly hours required, due to unpredictable changes in rugby fixtures, resulting in games being carried-over. Extra days and hours worked will be recognized and compensated within the staffing rota
