Tired of the Same Old Office Job or Call Centre Grind? Make a Real Difference with MacIntyre!
Are you fed up with the same routine day in, day out? Do you want a career where you can feel truly valued, have fun, and make a positive difference every single day? At MacIntyre Children’s Homes, we are all about creating lasting, meaningful change for children with learning disabilities and autism and we want you to be part of this exciting journey.
If you're looking for something more fulfilling than office work or call centre shifts, then this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. We provide full training, so no previous experience is needed, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.
Your role as a Support Worker:
1. You'll work alongside a team to support young people (aged 9-19) in our children’s homes.
2. From helping with daily routines like getting ready for school or dinner, to leading fun activities like bowling or sensory play, your days will be varied and fulfilling.
3. Communication with families is key, as you’ll keep them updated on the children’s progress and successes.
4. We’ll support you with training to build your confidence in supporting children with unique needs, including managing behaviours of concern or medical conditions like epilepsy.
Why join us?
1. No two days are the same! One day you could be supporting a child to learn new life skills, and the next you could be out on an adventure like trampolining or swimming.
2. Be part of a close-knit team where everyone supports each other, making each shift something to look forward to.
3. Make a real impact by helping children take steps towards greater independence and confidence.
We’re looking for people who share our values of being honest, respectful, fun, compassionate, and kind. If you have these values and want to make a difference, then we’d love to hear from you.
Is driving important? It’s preferred, as it helps with flexibility and getting to and from community activities.
Ready for a new challenge? If you want a job that’s as rewarding as it is fun, apply now and join us at MacIntyre. We can’t wait to meet you and support you on this exciting journey.
