Base pay range

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support our buying team in achieving key objectives, including margin improvement, New Product Introductions (NPIs), and contract management.
The ideal candidate will manage the administration of the NPI process, oversee the upkeep of price and product files, and assist buyers in preparing for supplier meetings and negotiations. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the Product Master data process and system, ensuring that all product-related information is accurate and up-to-date. This position plays a critical role in the smooth operation of the buying process and in driving efficiency within the team.
As part of this apprenticeship you will be enrolled on a Level 4 Buying and Merchandising Assistant training course.
Responsibilities:
* Support with preparation & distribution of stakeholder reporting
* Manage the master product database
* Perform daily & weekly product data tasks such as price changes, supersessions, pack changes & other product updates.
* Prepare & distribute performance reporting
* Support with ad-hoc category management actions
* Assist in preparation of supplier review packs
* Support with preparation & distribution of supplier performance reporting
* Gather & collate product & pricing data for new business winning
* Administer new product introduction process working closely with all stakeholders
* Support with analysis and return of excess/obsolete stock
* Positively support departmental ways of working and cross-functional projects.
* Utilize toolkits & methods to support delivery of the role & tasks.

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Excel / Outlook and Mondays.com experience
* Positive attitude & motivated
* Meticulous attention to detail
Salary - £24,000
Duration - 18 Months
As part of the recruitment and selection process, we will be holding an assessment for our apprentice positions at our headquarters in Castle Donington on Wednesday 7th May with a planned start date beginning of June.
