From fitness classes to creative workshops, our services empower older adults to stay connected, physically active, and mentally stimulated.We are now looking for a Senior Clinical Exercise Specialist to join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract until December 2026 with potential for extension, working 35 hours per week.The Benefits- Salary of £30,500 per annum- 25 days’ holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays and 1 extra day off for your birthday- Employer and employee pension contribution in line with auto-enrolment requirements - Access to the Cycle to Work Scheme- A London Healthy Workplace Award-accredited employer, committed to supporting employee wellbeing- A supportive and passionate team- Opportunities for training, professional development, and progression- Flexible working arrangements, including occasional home workingThis is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled clinical exercise professional to lead a meaningful, community-focused programme supporting older adults' heart and lung health.You’ll join a dynamic, friendly team with a strong vision and ambition, ensuring that older people receive the best possible support to improve health outcomes and promote long-term wellbeing.What’s more, you’ll enjoy a rewarding benefits package, flexible working arrangements, and professional development opportunities, ensuring you thrive both personally and professionally.The RoleAs the Senior Clinical Exercise Specialist, you will co-ordinate and deliver a community-based heart and lung health programme, engaging older adults surrounding Kensington and Chelsea.Working in partnership with three local organisations (WAND UK, Pepper Pot, and 50+ Eritrean), you will develop strong relationships, deliver specialist exercise classes, and support wider health initiatives such as healthy eating, cooking, and blood pressure monitoring.You will be responsible for ensuring that exercise sessions are tailored, effective, and culturally sensitive, adapting programming to meet the needs of participants and promoting long-term engagement in physical activity.Additionally, you will:- Co-ordinate and oversee contractors delivering healthy cooking programmes- Manage project budgets, ensuring activities align with financial planning- Collect and analyse data, producing reports to measure programme effectiveness- Manage referrals and maintain accurate registers- Promote and market the programme, increasing awareness and participationTravel to other community venues and Open Age sites will also be required, with occasional home working when the role permits.About YouTo be considered as the Senior Clinical Exercise Specialist, you will need:- A minimum of one year’s experience working with older adults in community settings- Experience delivering group exercise classes and one-to-one exercise sessions- Strong partnership working experience, with the ability to engage with stakeholders- Knowledge of prescribing exercise for individuals with medical conditions- Excellent time management and organisational skills- Strong report writing and IT skills, with the ability to interpret data- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills- A proactive, flexible, and motivated approach- The ability to travel throughout the area on a daily basis- A degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Sport/Exercise Science, Sports Therapy) - BACPR, Exercise Referral, Exercise Training for Chronic Respiratory Disease, or Nutritionist qualifications The closing date for this role is Wednesday 12th March 2025.
