Are you a level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse looking for a new role within an NHS Nursery who are part of an “Outstanding” rated Trust?

Here at Little Dragons in Reading, we are looking for a Nursery Nurse to join us on a full-time basis.
We are a team of hard-working professionals ranging from Nursery Trainees to Degree Level practitioners and we are looking for like-minded individuals who are passionate about providing a stimulating and friendly environment for the children in our care.
As a level 3 Nursery Nurse, you will have responsibility for a group of children whom you will provide daily care and activities as well as completing developmental reviews. We offer care and education for children, from 6 months old, up until they start school in Reception. You will be expected to maintain the standards of care and learning opportunities for the children in a safe and stimulating environment, supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We offer full day care for 51 weeks per year, from Monday to Friday, in which you will work on a rota basis for hours per week.
Main duties of the job
* Encouraging all areas of the children’s development within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with the appropriate activities, play opportunities and actions through imaginative play and innovative programming.
* Compiling and maintaining development records on children and reporting to the Team Leader at agreed intervals.
* Providing a stimulating, friendly, and caring environment at all times.
* Demonstrating good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion, working with the nursery and area SENCO as appropriate.
* Being a key carer carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families.
* Working with Early Years and other professional teams to continuously improve the quality of childcare and education and to learn about current developments in childcare practice and policy.

* As stated in the EYFS, a good standard of written and spoken English. Also able to read and understand English such as to follow instructions or interpret a policy

Previous Experience
* Experience of any work which demonstrates the skills required for the post
* Experience of teamwork
* Previous relevant work in childcare
