Here at our Bodmin site, we are looking for enthusiastic team players to join our friendly team.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday - 6.30-16.30
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out regular team briefs to staff members in relation to performance/training needs to ensure the team operates effectively and targets are met.
2. Coordinate daily head count per area/line and control movements of staff where necessary, e.g., low volume/area breakdowns.
3. Ensure good communications both to team and to management, sharing information, knowledge, and advice.
4. Complete quality checks meeting specifications and ensure food safety checks/records are maintained by your team.
5. Resolve complex problems relating to line performance/production and give the team direction.
6. Challenge current processes, identifying quick wins for cost reductions.
7. Utilise staff members effectively, looking at time and motion of activities.
8. Process at optimum loading capacity of slicing lines (Grote slicing speeds).
9. Avoid customer shortages.
10. Build stock levels ensuring supply.
11. Explore all options of potential plan changes if required to meet deadlines.
12. Ensure all area paperwork and procedures are implemented and correctly used and that all other written communication is followed and acted upon.
13. Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Area Manager.
14. Continually develop own skills through attending Company training.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience preferred but all training will be given.
2. Computer skills.
3. Knowledge of KPI indicators – labour, yield, giveaway, waste, plan attainment.
4. Understanding of true line efficiency.
5. Understanding of daily plan.
6. Understanding of the Yellow card procedure.
7. Understanding of financial implications.
8. Good knowledge of planning, processing, and quality procedures.
9. Ability to work under pressure and within budget parameters.
10. Ability to provide accurate data.
