Your main responsibility is to manage the Mechanical Transport Fuel Installation (MTFI) point and to oversee the safe storage of other products associated with this installation as per the Authority’s current regulations JSP 317.
This means you will be demanding, issuing and back loading all products associated with the Fuel & Lubricant store, and must stay up to date with changing legislation including JSP 317 Joint Service Safety Regulations for the Storage and Handling of (F&L).
Amongst several other key responsibilities, you must also be familiar with the Spill Response Plan, ensure that only authorised personnel are issued with F&L products, and maintain a COSHH register for all products.
You must also be able to maintain and issue Data Safety Sheets as required, ensuring that all spill kits are kept in place with the correct quantities held, and assisting with Stock Takes and Inspections.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Experience in operating an MTFI point.
All Arms Fuel & Lubricants Managers Course (MoD), or be willing to obtain the qualification in post
Good communication skills.
You should also be good team member, hardworking, flexible, able to work alone for long periods and able to prioritise your own work as well as aid with the work of others when required. Basic understanding of MS Word & Excel would also be additionally desirable, and you should be able to obtain Security Clearance.

Essential qualifications for this role includes an NVQ1 Distribution Storehouse and Warehouse Operations or equivalent, and IT Skills. It would also be desirable to have a Forklift Licence, and if you have not completed the F&L Manager course, this can be obtained while in the post.

Salary: up to 23,900 depending on experience
