Description The Asset Management and Operational Services service line of Wood Clean Energy, has an opportunity for a Wind Turbine Technician to join our busy, friendly, and agile team who focus on operating, maintaining and optimising wind turbine generators. This is a permanent role, it will be particularly focused towards the 7 MW Levenmouth Development Turbine based in Fife. Working at other locations may also be required. The Role We are inviting applications from people with prior experience working in the wind turbine technician role at the Authorised Technician level or above. Please note that we are ideally looking for someone who is living, or will relocate to, within commuting distance of our site-based office in Leven, Fife. Efficient response to turbine faults, with a strong focus on quality and safety. Liaise with other team members on operational and research projects. Keep records, maintain documentation and report as required by company policy and procedures. Deploy appropriate company health, safety and environmental best practice. Maintenance management system, inventory control, and stock management. Ensure periodic maintenance and repairs are made to equipment and tooling. Accurate reporting of site activities, consumable usage and follow up actions. Work as part of an on-call rota to cover weekend issues. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Physically fit and confident at working at height and in a marine environment. Ability to perform fault finding and diagnostic analysis on both electrical and mechanical equipment as part of a dedicated team. Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and take appropriate decisions. Ability to work under pressure. Able to follow and compile technical reports. Demonstrates high standards of safety. Proactive, hands-on person who is looking to take hold of the wide range of career development opportunities and training we offer to our staff. Flexibility to carry out tasks efficiently and on a timely manner. Full driving licence Recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical fields. Previous experience servicing wind turbines. Desirable: Full GWO qualifications (work at height, hub rescue training, first aid, marine survival training). Knowledge/interest in electrical systems and communication (SCADA, networking, PLC).
