We are looking for a highly motivated SEND Group Manager to join us in our transformational journey to excellence. This is an exciting time to join a busy, committed and motivated team.
In accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice, the post requires partnership working and good knowldge of the legislation. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders in Hull to deliver excellent services and effective support to children and young people who have SEND and their families.
You will lead and manage the SEND Statutory Assessment and Review Team in fulfilling statutory responsibilities in respect of the identification, assessment and provision for children and young people with SEND. You will supervise, manage and develop team members to deliver the service efficiently and effectively.
We are looking for someone who shares our belief in Hull City Council and our commitment to improving the lives of children and young people. You must have a passion to work in SEND and experience of working in education.A skillset in engaging and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is paramount to the role.
We aim to put effective communication at the heart of our practice so you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure. You must be self-motivated with a high level of organisational skills, able to work within prescribed timescales and adhere to deadlines. A positive, can-do attitude is a must!
