Job summary As part of a wider nursing recruitment drive for the Emergency Department (ED) in Royal Glamorgan Hospital (RGH) an exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Registered Nurses to come and join our ED. The Emergency Department at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital is a designated Trauma Unit and is a busy department within a large district general hospital. The department consists of a minor injuries unit, majors areas, ambulatory care unit and an adult and paediatric resuscitation area. The department is undergoing a clinical model and workforce modernisation review and this is an exciting time to come and join our innovative team. We are seeking to recruit Band 5 Registered Nurses with experience of caring for patients with acute and life threatening illness or injury who are able to assess and plan care for patients who attend ED. Main duties of the job Applicants will need to be able to act independently within the UHB and professional guidelines. Applicants will need to have a clear vision for best practice and evidence of decision-making and organisational skills. You will be supported with your ongoing development by the Emergency Department Senior Nurse and Senior Nurse for Professional Development.
