Your Future Role
As a key member of the nursing team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth of our internal medicine and oncology departments, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care throughout their treatment. Your work will directly impact the well-being of patients while also providing crucial support to our specialists and clients during their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with administering chemotherapy and support the team in maintaining health and safety protocols.
* Monitor anaesthesia/sedation during procedures and assist with patient recovery.
* Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and answering queries.
* Assist the nursing team leaders in maintaining essential resources and equipment for the internal medicine and oncology departments.
* Support our specialists during consultations and procedures.
Supporting you in your new role
Experience within a referral setting is preferred but not essential, as we have a structured 6-week induction mentoring programme combined with a 6-month training period designed to support all new nurses. We are also proud to offer central support via IVC Evidensia’s ‘Introduction to Referral Nursing’ training modules, specifically designed for RVNs moving from first opinion to referral. To be successful you will be a proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable person who is not only a great team player but can also use their own initiative and self- motivate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to working, are a must.

The hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can offer the most advanced treatment options available for orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, oncology, and internal medicine cases.

We have a dedicated team of over 100 people, including 11 specialists, 25 RVNs, and various support teams
Working Pattern
We are currently offering both full-time or part-time positions.
A full-time position averages 37 hours per week, either across 4 or 5 days. Our team works varied shifts on rotational basis, the earliest start being 07:00 and the latest finish is 20:30. There is a 1 in 6 weekend rota for which TOIL is given, and you would ordinarily work 2 bank holidays per year.
For part-time we will be looking for someone to work up to 24 hours per week, comprising of three 8 hour shifts per week, rotating between earlies (07:00 start) mids (10:00 start) and lates (12:00 start). There is a 1 in 6 weekend rota for which TOIL is given, and you would ordinarily work 2 bank holidays per year.
