About the role Join the Manufacturing team in Eastbourne where you'll support and provide first-line support to the Final Assembly areas of manufacturing. Problem solving and diagnosis faults on Flow Lines, Batch Assembly and Test Processes, whilst delivering the Total Preventative Maintenance plan. Deliver the Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) plan, conducting routine inspections, predictive monitoring, upkeep and repairs. Provide 1st line support to the Final Assembly areas for problem solving and fault diagnosis to the Flowlines, Batch Assembly and Test processes. Collaborate with Production Coaches to support the training of Operators within the Final Assembly areas. Work with the Production Coaches and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the technical content of instructions (FIs) are accurate and align with best practice, and that they are easy to understand and follow. Support the Capacity Model by working with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering Teams, to monitor and accurately record labour timings and prioritise workload. Identify new opportunities for Kaizen projects and quality improvements and be actively involved in the implantation of these within the factory. Support the factory 5S program. Manage workload and engineering projects, collaborating with Operations and Engineering Management to prioritise workload and provide regular updates on progress. Working closely with Quality Engineers to assure product and process quality by analysing product and process capabilities. Proactively seeking opportunities to improve and actively responding to incidents that may impact on the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People or Environmental objectives. What are we looking for? Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, taking both a hands-on and methodical approach to resolve issues. Clear communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical jargon to effectively communicate faults. Good knowledge and understanding of assembly processes and industry best practices. Basic or advanced Electronics, Mechanical or Manufacturing knowledge to identify and diagnose faults. The right attitude is more important to us than your skills or experience.
