The roles and responsibilities of the Production Manager:
* Promotes and manages a health and safety culture across site.
* Ensuring all activities on site comply with H&S regulations and guidelines.
* Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Ensure all products produced on and leaving site meet the agreed quality standards.
* Ensure site is running at maximum efficiency and fully achieving production plans.
* Ensure the site is running in line with budget requirements and targets.
* Work with all departments across the business to instill and develop a continuous improvement ethic that focuses on driving down cost and improving quality.
* Maintain a high level of employee motivation by working closely with all employees to develop a highly communicative team where employees are made fully aware of business performance and activities. Also ensure any issues or problems, either personal or work-related, are supported and resolved.
* Lead and champion projects that deliver improvements to site performance and employee engagement.
* Create and present reports detailing site performance to all team members across all levels of the business structure.
* Lead and champion Root Cause Analysis projects to ensure any quality issues are resolved with a permanent fix put in place.
* Drive KPIs into production using them to identify and improve production trends.
* Ensure material stocks are managed and used effectively.
Qualifications and Education Requirements of the Production Manager:
* Proven experience as Leader/Manager or relevant role leading a team focused on manual processes.
* Familiarity with company policies, legal guidelines, and Health & Safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good knowledge of IT systems.
* Strong background in Lean and continuous improvement.
* Proven experience of driving through successful improvement and change management projects.
* Proven experience of root cause analysis and putting permanent fixes in place.
* Ability to interpret and understand KPIs and data.
