The Centre is looking to recruit for a combined/blended role as a part-time Assistant Cook and part-time General Assistant (working full-time hours).
The combined role of Assistant Cook and General Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the provision of catering services, as well as working within the areas of Housekeeping and evening duty.
For the Cook part of this role, applicants should ideally have previous experience in food preparation and basic food hygiene. Usually, you’ll be assisting the main Cook but there will be times, once trained and competent, where you will be responsible for the cooking and serving of food at Patterdale Hall.
The General Assistant is a multi-functional role working in three main areas; Catering, Housekeeping and evening duties. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential.
Affordable live-in accommodation is available with this role (on site at Patterdale Hall).
Patterdale Hall is a Residential Adventure Learning Centre, based in Glenridding on the shores of Lake Ullswater, Cumbria, United Kingdom, which provides a variety of land and water-based activities for school children and commercial clients. The Hall is part of Bolton School in Lancashire.
The salary for this position is between point 06 and point 10 (£24,325 and £25,385 per annum) on the Bolton School Support Staff Salary Scale, dependent on skills and experience. The salary will be the same for both aspects of the roles.
For further details or to apply, please visit the website here or contact Sean Duffy, Residential Manager via sduffy@patterdalehall.org.uk or telephone 01768 482233.
Closing date: Monday 24 March 2025
