We have an exciting opportunity for an Information System Specialist to join the Application Innovation & Data Team within Digital Innovation and ICT, Strategic Enabling Services.
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team with a focus on applying analytical tools to provide business insights on trends, behaviour and anomaly detection. You will be responsible for producing accurate and insightful reports and documentation to support the team with its role of supporting the wider department with their system usage and information recording. This role will play a critical part in communicating complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, helping colleagues make informed decisions and optimise IT resources.
To be successful in this role, you will need a high level of organisational and prioritisation skills, as well as a proven ability to quickly adapt to new exciting challenges. You will turn complex business information into clearly scoped analysed outputs. You will be comfortable making sense out of very large datasets, designing and refining crisp interactive dashboards that support the work of the team.
In this role you would need to:
1. Develop and maintain, ad-hoc reports for anomaly detection.
2. Analyse the root cause of system problems, and work to resolve them.
3. Support 1st line help desk colleagues by investigating queries and deliver recommendations with supporting analysis.
4. Design & build interactive dashboards.
5. Extract and explore data confidently using SQL and Report Manager, and other tools as required.
6. Communicate with social care colleagues to gather requirements and understand business challenges or client specific issues.
You will need:
7. Experience in data analysis, working with large amounts of client and financial data.
8. Advanced Excel and SQL skills.
9. Experience with Data visualisation tools and a history of developing interactive and engaging dashboards that allow users to self-serve.
10. To understand or have a willingness to learn, social care and financial processes.
